To maintain the longevity and excellent aesthetic result of teeth whitening over time, you need to remember certain rules:
Instructions that need to be followed after bleaching your teeth
- Brush with a soft toothbrush and the prescribed by your dentist whitening toothpaste at least 2 times a day. Floss at least once a day, preferably before you go to bed at night.
- Avoid consuming foods that could stain your teeth such as red wine, coffee, tea, chamomile, colas, soy sauce, grapefruit juice, cherries, strawberries, blackberries, beets, red meat and chocolate. Restrain from the use of cigarettes and cigars since smoking is the number one cause of teeth staining.
- If mouthwash is required, use a solution that does not contain chlorhexidine.
- If you feel any sensitivity after bleaching, you can take pain reliever tablets, one every 4 hours or 6 hours and contact your doctor
